Profile: Social media tips I learned from Guy Kawasaki
I love tutorials by well educated public figures and am very thankful for a recent one on Lynda.com by Guy Kawasaki, marketing executive, an inspiration figure, and someone who has helped to achieve Apple “Love” status. - First we have to build a positive image online and this starts with creating our profile
- We need a good screen name – something simple, consistent and memorable that will be applicable today and 20 years from now. How about our name?
- We need a good profile picture – a close up shot of us with the 3/4 of focal point being off center. It will make a personal impression.
- What are we passionate about? – our cover photo and slogan should reflect our central doctrine.
- When you write online – provide a good value content. The more valuable a post the more likely it will be for people to share it.
