Photoshop Camera Raw Part 1
Recently, I have been blogging my cooking experience at Green Recipes and I needed to document my culinary work. For the purpose , I used a basic point and shoot camera and I did a good amount of post editing work at Camera raw. Below, you can find a list of steps for any novice on how to use Camera raw.
What is Camera Raw?
What is Camera raw : processes engine which we can access inside of Photoshop, which gives us the ability in order to correct, improve, and enhance our photographs.
Workflow:
Step 1: We capture our images as Camera raw
Step 2: Open them up in Adobe Camera Raw.
Step 3: We edit it in Photoshop
How to open JPG or Tiff directly in Camera raw?
Open the Camera raw – by going to a camera raw image and opening it in Photoshop.
Open Preference dialog (Control +K or on Mac Command +K)
Go to JPG and Tiff Handling:
Select: Automatically open all supported JPEGS
Select: Automatically open all supported TIFFs
Click OK and close
Now you can oepn all JPEGs and TIFFs file fisrt in camera raw
How to open files in Camera raw from Bridge?
Right click on the image and select Open in Camera raw or Cmd + R or Control +R
What is adobe Camera raw interface?
At the top we have the tools panel and the full screen button to the top left
Top left we have our histogram.
Underneath the histogram we have the panels, which give us access to different controls. Then buttons, which allow us to apply our settings.
Bottom Right our zoom controls
How to Save image in Camera raw?
Navigate over to the left-hand corner here and click on the Save Image button.
1. This will open up our Save Options dialog.
2. Same Location or choose location
3. Next, for the file Format: TIFF file – a higher resolution version of the file that they’re going to print in a publication. JPEG for website.
4. Choose a Color Space : For smaller file sRGB. In other scenarios if you were going to export this or save this out so you were going to print the file, you might choose a bigger Color Space like Prophoto or Adobe RGB. So again, just make the choice based on your workflow needs.
5. Select Quality : 12
6. Select picture size. If I know picture width is 1500 pixels type it in. We can also type in a Resolution. If this says 300 we can click in there and type and change that to something lower like 72 which would work well for a JPEG.
7. Click the Save button. The lower left-hand area, you’ll see a little progress here. It says that it’s saving the image. When that message disappears, that’s telling us that it has now successfully saved that file to that location.
How to open camera raw in Photoshop?
1. Select the layer and
2. Select navigation menu “Filter “ – > Adobe Camera raw Filter.
